How to copy a video link on a phone

The downloader needs the address of one public item. A link to a home feed, profile or search result does not identify the media. The safest mobile method is the platform’s Share menu.

General Android and iPhone steps

1. Open the individual video or track.
2. Tap Share. The icon may look like an arrow, three connected dots or a paper plane.
3. Select Copy link or Copy URL.
4. Return to Download Video Online and use Paste from clipboard.

YouTube and TikTok

On YouTube, open the video rather than its channel, tap Share and Copy link. Both youtube.com/watch and youtu.be formats work. On TikTok, open the post, tap the Share arrow and Copy link. A private post will remain inaccessible even if its address was copied successfully.

VK, Pinterest and Dailymotion

For VK or VK Видео, open the player page and copy the share link, not the community feed. In Pinterest, open the individual video Pin and copy its link; a board or image-only Pin has no downloadable video. Dailymotion accepts the full video address and dai.ly share URLs.

SoundCloud

Open one public track, tap the share menu and copy the track URL. A playlist, profile, private secret link or subscriber-only page may not be supported.

Before pasting

Do not paste text that contains several links. If a messenger added tracking text, open the link once and copy the final address from the browser. Never send account cookies or a password to make a private item work.
